Kannur police stop migrants from walking through railway tracks to UP

KANNUR: The Kannur police stopped migrants for trying to walk to Uttar Pradesh through the railway tracks. The incident happened this morning. Nearly 50 migrants from Valapattanam tried to walk home. The police stopped them and made them understand things and then sent them back.

The migrants said they decided to walk home as sufficient food and accommodation are not obtained. They said they are not able to pay rent as they don’t have any work. The migrants said they were asked to vacate their homes.
