KOLLAM: Based on the evidences collected by the police, there are some crucial revelations in questioning Sooraj again. Sooraj clarified that it was a viper which Uthra saw first in the staircase of his house in Adoor. He initially said that it was a rat snake and that it was not placed by him. It was snake catcher Suresh who brought the viper home. The snake was handed over to Sooraj in front of his mother and sister. Soon after Suresh returned, the snake jumped from the sack and crawled away.

Sooraj took much effort to put him back in the sack. He hid that first at the back of his house and then put that in the staircase of his house. As it was a tiled house, the snake was not able to crawl. At that time, Sooraj asked Uthra to bring his mobile phone from the top floor. When she climbed the step to go up she saw the snake and screamed. He soon came and put the snake in a sack and shifted it from there. He later threw the snake first on Uthra when she was sleeping.

He thought she would die that day. When she returned to life, he called Suresh again and asked for a cobra. After her death, he called Suresh and told him not to tell anybody that he bought a cobra from him. Sooraj told the investigating them that all his moves were with the knowledge of his sister. The investigating team are likely to question her based on his statement.

On interrogation, Sooraj has clarified that it was his sister who made all arrangements for him to escape. Her friends are also included. Police got the proofs of the phone calls made. The investigation team is not rejecting the possibility of more accused in the case. A final decision will be taken only after getting enough evidences.
