THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: COVID negative certificate will be made mandatory for Sabarimala pilgrims and darshan at the temple will be controlled through virtual queue, Devaswom Minister Kadakampalli Surendran has said on Monday.

The decision was taken in an online high-level meeting presided by the minister to discuss the preparation for Sabarimala pilgrimage which begins on November 16. The meeting decided to regulate darshan via virtual queue without rush through online registration for pilgrims with COVID negative certificate.

The meeting also evaluated that there will be limitations to conduct a full-scale pilgrimage due to the COVID situation. Minister Surendran directed to make timely preparations by staying within the limits.
