COVID-19: Thiruvananthapuram records 986 cases in last 24 hours, 835 cases through contact

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The COVID-19 situation in the state capital continues to look serious as 986 fresh cases reported were here on Wednesday. Of the new cases, 835 cases are through contact including 32 health workers. 379 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours.

Six deaths were confirmed in the district in the last 24 hours-Thampanoor native Vasantha (68), Pallichal native Murali (55), Sreekanteswaram native Nataraja Sundaram (91), Nedumangad native Sasidharan Nair (77), Vallakkadavu native Abu Thahir (68), and Peyad native Padmakumar (49).

Kerala recorded 8830 COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours with 3536 recoveries in the same time frame.
