Land transaction, house construction, use of poll fund and money in relatives account, ED to grill K M Shaji for third time

KOCHI: Enforcement Directorate is gearing up to question MLA K M Shaji again. On Thursday, he will be served with a notice to summon him for questioning. ED is trying to gain more clarity, over the documents submitted by Shaji over the complaint that he sought Rs 25 lakh to sanction a plus two batch in Azhikode school in Kannur. The documents were submitted by Shaji through his chartered accountant.

Earlier, ED asked him to furnish documents which could reveal more details on the land transaction, house construction, use of the poll fund and money in his relative’s account. But now, the probe agency says that the file contains only related information on his assets and more details are required.

Earlier, the agency has questioned the MLA for 25 hours in two days. ED has taken note of the discrepancy in the documents submitted by his wife, Asha and his testimony, therefore, ED is gearing up to summon him again to know more details.
