"All those above the age of 18 can register on CoWin by April 24...the vaccination process and documents remain the same," Sharma said.

Besides indigenous vaccines Covaxin and Covishield, Russian vaccine Sputnik V will also be added as an option at some centres, he said.

He further said more centres and private facilities are being set up for a faster vaccination process.

Moreover, private firms have been asked to publish vaccine time table on CoWin platform to help people book date and time. "Private firms/industries need to share information on vaccination of employees numbers on CoWin platform," he said.

Also, any case of Adverse event following immunization (AEFI) after vaccination will be monitored, Sharma said.
