MALAPPURAM: Three persons were killed after a tanker lorry struck a goods auto in Malappuram. The incident happened at Koottilangadi in the district. The condition of two is stated to be serious. The dead has been identified as S K Sadath (40), S K Sabeer Ali (41) and Saidual Khan (37), natives of West Bengal.
The accident happened in front of the petrol pump in Koottilangadi on the Kozhikode-Palakkad national highway. The LPG tanker lorry from Mangalore struck the goods auto carrying concrete workers. The incident happened when the goods auto was coming out after filling fuel from the petrol pump.
Three workers died on the spot itself. Their bodies are kept at the taluk hospital in Malappuram.
