Indian Met department has predicted that there could be formation of a low pressure area above the Bay of Bengal in August. With this, there is a sudden anxiety in Kerala whether there would be another flood or not.
The forecast is that the low pressure area will be formed in the beginning of August. As it intensifies, there will be heavy rains in the State.
Kerala had received excess rain in 2018 and 2019 and consequently Kerala were floods in these years.
As per the current assessment, the low pressure formation will begin on August 5 and 6 and if it intensifies, Kerala will receive heavy rains in the second week of August.
