Student who came for massage treatment found dead

MOOLAMATTOM: A plus two student who came for massage treatment was found dead at the vaidyan’s house. He has been identified as Mahesh (16), son of Manoj and Shailaja of Thumpachi in Arakkulam. Mahesh had sustained injuries in a fall four months back. He was a plus two student of Poomala Higher Secondary School.

He was taken to a private hospital in Muttam following pain in his leg and hips. The doctor had asked him to take an X-ray. However, his parents took him to a ‘nattu vaidyan’ at Kudayathur on Friday afternoon.

Mahesh was accompanied by his father and uncle. The vaidyar informed his death to the police. Kanjar police reached the spot and shifted the body to Kottayam medical College hospital for post mortem. Only after that, the reason for his death could be found.
