Chief Electoral Officer of state denies EVM glitches

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Kerala has denied reports of technical glitches in Electronic Voting Machine. “Faults were found only in one percent voting machines. In some other states, the percentage of faulty machines were even higher. There are no confirmed reports of votes getting registered for a different candidate other than the one preferred by the voter. Complaints were sorted out by noon”, Teeka Ram Meena said.

To the criticism of Ramesh Chennithala that the CEO is registering against those who are raising complaints, Meena replied that the case was charged for spreading fake rumors and the law demands it.
