COVID-19: Kerala records 7789 cases on Thursday; 7086 recoveries, 23 deaths

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala confirmed 7789 COVID-19 cases on Thursday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said. Among the new cases, 6486 persons developed the disease through contact including 1049 cases without an identified source of infection. 128 health workers tested positive for the virus today.

7086 coronavirus patients tested negative for the virus in the last 24 hours.
The state recorded 23 COVID deaths on Thursday with the toll rising to 1089.

In the last 24 hours, 50,154 samples were sent for testing.

While 7 new areas were added to the hotspots list, 17 areas were removed from it. At present, there are 644 hotspots in the state.
