IDUKKI: BJP state president K Surendran on Saturday said that the questioning of M Raveendran, Additional Private Secretary to the Chief Minister, is being delayed to save the Chief Minister. "If Raveendran appears before the investigating agencies, the involvement of the Chief Minister will come out. The health department is aware of this and is therefore blocking the investigation. The health department has also intervened in the case of M. Sivasankar It is doubtful whether they are trying to save them with the knowledge of Health Minister KK Shailaja," Surendran said in a news conference in Peermade.

"The government is even using medical colleges to protect smugglers. No one knows about the source of Raveendran's COVID infection. There is no explanation regarding why people close to him did not go into quarantine. Even the top leaders of the CPM are beginning to understand what the BJP said about the Chief Minister sometimes back," Surendran said. He also demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister who has lost faith within his own party.
