sneha

PALAKKAD: Finance Minister Dr Thomas Isaac while presenting budget in the assembly recited poems written by children studying in government schools of the state. He recited their poems in the beginning, middle and at the end of the budget. Isaac started his budget speech with quotes from a poem written by Sneha, a Class 7 student of Kuzhalmandam government school in Palakkad. The poem was that Kerala will move forward by overcoming the pandemic as the sun rises again, the flowers that bloom and human beings entering life with hope. Sneha said although she is happy that her poem has been a part of the budget presentation, she requested the minister to renovate her dilapidated school. |

The Kulavanmukku Government High School is functioning in a very bad condition with broken sheets. When it rains, the class and children will get wet. The school which has more than 300 students don’t even have a ground. Though panchayat has sanctioned land for the construction of the school functioning on a rented building, the school authorities complain that the procedures are not progressing.
