THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Senior Congress leaders including KPCC president Mullappally Ramachandran, VM Sudheeran and K Muraleedharan have informed that they will not contest the upcoming assembly polls. It is learnt that PJ Kurian too has decided not to contest the polls. Speaking during an election committee meeting Mullappally Ramachandran said that his only aim was to bring the UDF in power.
Earlier, it was reported that Mullappally would contest in Wayanad or Kannur. Following this, it was rumoured that Kannur MP K Sudhakaran will become the KPCC president.
