Clash in University College, student stabbed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A student was stabbed in a clash that broke out between students of the University College in the capital city. Akhil, a third year BA student sustained stab injuries. He was first taken to General Hospital and later to medical college hospital. There was a clash in the college two days back. In protest against the incident, the students are staging a secretariat march.

The clash broke after a section of the students questioned singing in the canteen. SFI activists are behind the attack, the students alleged. Students said Akhil is also a SFI activist. Akhil sustained two stab injuries. The students of the college are staging a protest against the SFI. Reporters who came to report the incident were stopped from entering the college. The condition of Akhil is satisfactory, doctors attending on him said.
