Govt trying to buy trawlers to ruin lives of fishermen; no efficient fisheries ministry here, says Rahul Gandhi

KOLLAM: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said there is no efficient fisheries ministry in the country to understand and intervene in the problems of the fishermen. Someone else is getting the result of the hard work of the fishermen fighting in the sea, Rahul said while talking to the fishermen at Wadi in Kollam.

The fishermen fish after facing big challenges. They fight in the sea, buy their own nets, but the profit goes to someone else. The state government is trying to buy trawlers to ruin the lives of the fishermen. Rahul said he wanted to learn what the government of Kerala is going to do with the trawler.
