PORT OF SPAIN: Indian captain Virat Kohli scored his second consecutive century to guide India's series-clinching victory in the third match against West Indies. Earlier, West Indies had scored 240 for seven in their 35 overs, after the match got interrupted by rain.

West Indies started off well with Chris Gayle's blistering knock of 72 from just 41 balls. The star batsman struck 8 fours and 5 sixes in his innings which is believed to be his last in ODIs. He was also supported by other batsmen like Lewis (43), Hetmyer(25) and Pooran(30). Among bowlers, Khaleel Ahmed picked up 3 wickets and Shami got 2, while Chahal and Jadeja picked up a wicket apiece.

Due to DLS method, India had to chase 255 in their 35 overs. While Rohit(10) fell cheaply, Dhawan scored 36. However, it was the Indian skipper who yet again rose to the occasion to guide the team to another series victory. Kohli remained unbeaten on 114 from just 99 balls, with 14 fours. He was also well supported by Shreyas Iyer (65) who scored his second half-century in the series. Both Kohli and Iyer were involved in a 120 run partnership for the fourth wicket. It was Kohli's 43rd ODI century which also helped him to achieve 20,000 international runs.

India will now move on to the longer format when it takes on the host at Antigua on 22nd.
